Annual energy consumption is assessed to be about 65 million units in initial year of 2014, which may be increased by 2025. The power tariff should be on 'no profit no loss' basis. This is expected to be in the range of Rs.3.25 per unit. It is proposed that the Government of West Bengal would take steps to fix power tariff at 'no profit no loss' basis. For the purpose of FIRR, the power tariff has been taken as Rs.3.25 per unit.
